On Tuesday, January 17, the Northwest Community Forest Coalition gathered virtually for our Winter Quarterly Meeting. The agenda for the meeting included presentations on:

  1. The impacts of Snow Gaps on snow retention within the Nisqually Community Forest, presented by Jaal Maan with the Northwest Natural Resources Group (NNRG)

  2. Carbon Financing in Small Scale Forests, presented by Tom Tuchmann with US Forest Capital.

  3. The Conservation Program Explorer Tool, presented by Rachel Santa Ollala with the Cascade to Coast Landscape Collaborative.

  4. Oregon Legislative Concepts being presenting in session.

    Dylan Kruse with Sustainable Northwest shared two Legislative Concepts being introduced in Session currently.

    HB 2813 focusing on increasing resources available for Source Drinking Water Protection

    SB 530 focuses on creating climate solutions in working lands.
