Community Forest Associate, Sustainable Northwest
Sustainable Northwest is currently recruiting a Community Forest Associate to join our organization’s Forest Team. This position works in partnership with our team of 5-7 staff, and is able to represent the organization to a broad array of partners, each working to support community led management of forestlands to support our vision of healthy forests for nature, people, and local economies.
With a number of exciting projects within Oregon and Washington, this position will get the opportunity to engage directly with current and potential forestland owners and managers, engaging with a multitude of independent forestland management efforts. Throughout the region, Sustainable Northwest is known as a leader in community led forestry, supporting the delivery of benefits around watershed health, ecological forest management, economic resilience, education and public access and more.

Philanthropy Director, Whatcom Land Trust:
Whatcom Land Trust is hiring a Philanthropy Director. The The Philanthropy Director is responsible for building the resources needed to achieve the Trust’s mission, and to plan, develop and oversee organizational philanthropy and fundraising goals, strategies and benchmarks. The primary responsibility of this position is to achieve the short- and long-term fundraising goals by fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization and achieving revenue sufficient to support our growing program and operating needs. This includes annual, major and planned gifts, donor cultivation and stewardship, events and private foundation grant writing for the goal of obtaining individual, foundation and corporate support. The FY25 fundraising goal is at least $1.05 million in support of the operating budget of $1.76 million. This position works closely with the Executive Director, Communications & Outreach team, as well as program staff, and engages members of the Board of Directors in meaningful philanthropy.

Senior Lands Protection Specialist, Whidbey Camano Land Trust:
Whidbey Camano Land Trust is hiring for a Senior Lands Protection Specialist. The Senior Land Protection Specialist oversees a diverse portfolio of real estate transactions and works with willing landowners to conserve priority lands using a suite of land protection tools. This position leads and assists the movement of projects through the land protection process and spends substantial time drafting, revising and reviewing complex legal documents.

Senior Project Manager, Trust for Public Land:
Trust for Public Land is hiring a Western Washington Senior Land Conservation Project Manager. The person in this position will deliver TPL’s mission of conserving land for people by utilizing nonprofit land acquisition techniques and sound business practices. The Senior Project Manager will develop relationships with key stakeholders including local, state and federal agencies, tribes, community groups, and private landowners, to protect priority lands. This Senior Land Conservation Project Manager will focus their land transaction work in two primary geographies, the I-90 Snoqualmie Corridor and the Hood Canal / Olympic Peninsula region

The Northwest Director of Philanthropy, Trust for Public Land:
Reporting to the Pacific Region Director of Philanthropy, The Northwest Director of Philanthropy (DoP) is responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of all fundraising activities to support Trust for Public Land’s activities in Washington and Oregon. The DoP should be an entrepreneurial and results-oriented individual who is self-motivated, committed to working at the highest level of quality, able to work both independently and in collaboration, manage multiple priorities, and thrive within a fast-paced, results-oriented office. The DoP must be adept in working with philanthropy and programmatic leadership throughout the organization, especially working closely with the Washington and Oregon program teams and state/region leadership to lead a comprehensive fundraising program that maximizes support for the organization and its activities in the region.

The ED will build the organization’s strategic direction in collaboration with the board, membership, and key partners to ensure COLT’s financial and programmatic success and the Oregon land trust community’s effectiveness and sustainability.
