Community Forest Announcements

  1. Help Dr. Reem Hajjar, OSU with her researchon community forests by contributing your data at this link.(If you missed Dr. Hajjar’s keynote presentation at our 2020 Community Forest Forum, you can still watch it through the recordings available here.)
  1. Watch:The West Is Burning on OPB at 7:00 on 2/25. Wallowa Resources has worked with Landmark Stories at the University of Arizona to produce an incredible feature length film to raise awareness of the history of forest management and policies that got us into the era of megafires. Watch it on OPB or stream it to learn more about how we can take action now for positive change. Congratulations to Wallowa Resources and all who supported this important piece!
  1. We’re listening to community forest forums:

This spring, the Yale Forest Forum has organized a virtual speaker series on topics in community forests and forestry. We’re especially excited to tune in to hear about management models in Mexico and Brazil, as well as on the development of tools and strategies for urban forests in the US.  Yale Forest Forum – The Promise and Practice of Community-Based Forestry
